Tanysha Bennett-Wilson was born in Mount Vernon, New York and raised in both Mount Vernon and The Bronx, New York. As a young child she always loved art... drawing, coloring, painting, making new things and creating! Her love for art and drawing grew stronger as she grew older, so much that she decided to pursue it as a career and majored in Art in college. Tanysha has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia.
Upon graduating, Tanysha used her degrees and creative talents in her career as an Artist/Illustrator and Art Educator on both the public school (K-12) and the collegiate level. She has taught for over 13 years, in various courses such as Art Foundations, Principles of Color and Design, Drawing, Painting, Fashion Illustration and Computer Illustration/ Portfolio Development. Tanysha Bennett-Wilson currently lives in the North Georgia area with her family where she continues to freelance and create art on a daily basis.
